Troublesome Times Are Here …

unnamed

“3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in You Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” (Isaiah 26:3, 4),

“Troublesome times are … filling men’s hearts with fear. Freedom we all hold dear now is at stake.” You’ll probably recognize these lyrics from the song entitled: Jesus Is Coming Soon. These words are so appropriate for our days, aren’t they? Things are happening around us that are so unsettling, discouraging and even disheartening! Yet, there is One who is still on His throne … who knows exactly what is going on in the world around us and what is going on within each of our hearts!

Folks, we need to remember this truth: God is God, and we are not! Is this an oversimplification? Not really! You see, trusting our ever-trustworthy God who is always faithful (Lamentations 3:22, 23) will lead us to trust Him with all of our being! It means we will completely place our lives into His caring hands and loving heart! It means serving Him every day with all of our heart, soul, body and mind!

No, these are not new truths we’re considering for the first time … they are simply the right truths to hold onto in a very stormy time! The more we learn to take God at His word and find Him to be faithful … the stronger we can find ourselves loving, trusting, serving and obeying Him! The more we learn to take God at His word and find Him to be faithful … the more we will be looking forward to the time when by His grace and mercy we can hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joys of thy Lord!”

I so want to hear these words! How about you? Then recognize YOU must make the call! Make the right call to lean on the Lord … you’ll be glad you did!

Yes, this is a troublesome time but we can always look back at times past and see where things were much worse than they are now. But even so, we know we have the Lord to look to and lean on in everything. Praise His holy name!!! How can we live without Him? I am so thankful to be His.
