A Beam of Sunlight …

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you.  He will not leave you nor forsake you.  (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Stop for just a moment and re-read this passage of Scripture and think about it …

Some days are harder than others … some days are happier than others!  Life is truly like a roller coaster with all of the accompanying ups and downs, twists and turns.  Like the roller coaster first moving slowly up the first incline life occasionally slows down only to pick back up in a hurried pace.

Changes were taking place when Moses spoke these words to his people.  He was old and preparing to die … Joshua was being recognized as the new physical leader of the nation … they were preparing to finally enter the Land of Canaan.  Changes … uncertainty … fear of the unknown … all these factors and more were adding up and required some reassuring words.

As each of us goes through our day and every day to follow, we need these same reassuring words.  You see, we may be in some type of leadership role, but it is God who is the real Leader … that is if you have chosen to follow Him, to truly let Him lead!

It should be the prayer of every one of us  in behalf of ourselves, our families, our friends and our brethren that we will be strong and walking with the Lord as “… children of light” (Ephesians 5:8),

May each of us find the strength and courage that God alone provides to trust Him, serve Him and obey Him.  I want to go to Heaven when this life is over with.  Don’t you?

Many whom I have loved have already been released from the fear, heartache and disappointments of this life, finding peace in Abraham’s bosom as they await the final judgment.

Our God is truly an awesome God!  He is mighty in all of His ways!  He is not confined or limited by anything or anyone at any time! Yes, we can all find our strength in His strength! Amen

“And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you.  He will be with you; He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
